Cable box keeps blowing and no one can fix the problem!!

My cable box blows at least once a month and every time they have to send a technician out to replace it. No one seems to be able to fix the problem. They keep telling him that these things happen. Their customer service is nice and are always apologetic but the amount of time I waste waiting for the techs to get here is rediculous. I am switching cable companies this weekend. I fell that the amount of money I pay for cable I should not have these on going issues.
