    I called BH last night to ask about my slow internet speed. I have standard which is supposed to give me up to 10mbps but have never reached it. I am consistently at 2 or 3.     I have had Brighthouse for several years now, and I have not found one positive about this company. I constantly have problems accessing On Demand shows, which have made for many a cold dinner nights fussing with my box.   • Brighthouse customer service phone wait time...



    The wait time for Brighthouse customer service is horrific. Twice at 45 minutes because their service is failing, and now again am on hold @27 minutes...and it's a SUNDAY!     The BrightHouse internet service has gone way down in service and connectivity in the last three months. When you call for help, all they do is tell you that you are getting what you paid for and then try to sell you on a newer, higher speed internet access (for more money).   • WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!



    Brighthouse is by far the absolute worst cable and internet provider, and there are other bad ones out there! Their customer service is horrible (especially managers) and I had daily problems with my cable and internet. They set me up initially with a bad cable (at 10pm at night) which wasn't discovered until after 5 DVR box changes (yes each change was a separate visit), and then they didn't take any ownership for their mistake.     We have had the worst experience with this company. First, the cable box goes out every few days, to top it off the OnDemand channels are always having issues. This company is all about finding ways to raise prices from adding the useless digital boxes to adding premium channels without client's consent.     I have lived in Central Florida for just about a year now and have had to call Brighthouse over 10 times. Most of the times it's something with the DVR and the internet. My fiance is a tech guy himself and we find it very insulting when the internet goes down and someone comes to the house and tells us that the reason it went out was because the router or the modem was too low.     I called to find out how I could lower my bill and they told me I was grandfathered in on my "high speed" internet. I told them not to touch it. I didn't want to mess up that status.   • Equipment does not support the service



    You have to watch out with BrightHouse, they will sell you internet that is supposed to increase your speed (they have several tiers) and then not supply you with the DOCSIS 3.0 modem necessary to properly utilize it. I am embarrassed at myself for taking so long to notice that they were cheating me, but I am appalled at how many tech support agents I have spoken with who had ample opportunity to tell me what was wrong and said nothing.     I have had to switch out cable boxes 3-4 times in the last year for various issues. one of those time I had to reschedule because no one showed up and they marked the job as compete with a note stating the problem was fixed from the outside.When I called to report the no show the first time I was told that they were going to send someone out with in the hour.     Random Internet drop outs, speeds goes down to 5mbps almost every day , noticed while performing test speeds that i was connected to a Birmingham server, now check this out - As soon as i dial Brightouse tel number, after few more speed tests the internet just jumps back no normal and I'm now connected to a LOCAL orlando server getting my promised 10 mbps.     Just installed the "free" digital adapter for my cable subscription. What a crock. -Presto: no interactive cable Guide. How do you schedule anything without a Guide?     Built a house and the neighborhood had Brighthouse as the cable and internet provider. I scheduled a noon - 2pm installation on a Saturday for which nobody showed up. I called customer service about the issue twice and they said they'd get back to me asap. (No one ever called back).     We decided to get internet and home phone through brighthouse. The salesman was super nice and explained everything, however the next day when the installer came to hook it up.it was a different story. For one, he smelled like an ashtray.     I have been a Bright House Central Florida customer for a year now. I switched from Dish Network, which I loved, but was tired of having my signal go out every time it rained, plus the endless contract disputes and channels being removed.     To start with the boxes are horrible. The channels keep freezing and the box turns off on its own. Searching is almost impossible because its so slow. I can press the buttons 100 times and nothing will happen. The DVR doesn't record all the shows and when it does, half the show would be missing or it will record an entirely different show.     Very disappointed in their service. While I was on the phone, the technician called and because I couldn't switch over (I was on a business call) the technician cancelled the service call. The technician left no message asking me to call back or the call would be cancelled or left a message to indicate the call was cancelled.     In the past 6 months, I continue to get a cable box that does not work after a month or two. This is my 4th box that I have received. The box will stop recording or it will record only one show and not the other. My favorite is when I have a scheduled recording and it does not record at all.     I normally do not complain unless something is so horrible that I simply cannot stand the service I received. The people who came into my apartment to set up my internet were really nice.     we moved and transferred our cable service. Simple. Same package, new house. Equipment was delivered by Keith from Knight Enterprising ( Contracted out for Brighthouse?) .     Long story short- Using 55' LED HDTV, HD DVR, and pay for best possible package. The HD channels mostly have little blocks and shdows on anything moving fast on the screen.     I have had nothing but problems with my brighthouse phone service. They must have a book of all the service calls made to my house. For a long time, my phones would just go dead.     Internet only service is way too much. 51.00 for 10mb and it is slow more than not. Even if not, it is way over priced. Brighthouse offers no discounts of any kind with just one service. I'm looking at all these horrible reviews and I'm wondering why the hell Brighthouse doesn't sell to a company that knows what they're doing or just go out of business. Myself and my fiance have applied to work for Brighthouse, especially him because he knows tech stuff and he can fix things that brighthouse "professionals" fail to do every time we have called them here. Why are you hiring incompetents and not people who actually know what they're doing?

I have such a story, but can't write it all now. Dealing with I.D. theft. My services let someone else take over our HOME phone and forward our calls to several different mobile phones. There is so much more to this. It is SHAMEFUL That we as seniors have been put through so much STRESS !We must have 30 hours talking, to Bright House asking to stop giving access to our info to blank@gmail.com. He changed our home #. When I called AGAIN, I was informed this # has been mine since we moved here Aug./2011. OH there is MORE, BUT I have go, you know calling all these places and saying NO we did not apply for this credit card etc.! This IS NOT US!!!! And once in a while getting chewed out by persons who are supposed to help us.

reception is stinky. repeated tech visits state that the equipment is operating optimally but reception is variously unsatisfactory. your only response is to schedule another tech to confirm equipment optimal. new cables new boxes, etc. techs advise that problem is in your transmission lines. the response to a call is reboot the box and schedule another tech. this unsatisfactory service abd product.

Let it be known that BHN in-house tech # 32210 installed an HD-DVR at a residence where as the customers are wheel-chair bound and disabled. The box was not operating properly primarily due to the fact that the box was NOT on account/assigned to the address, did NOT program the remote, and did not leave a copy of the work order with the customer.Tech 32210 pretty much plugged it in and left. Let it be known that it is always the contractors for BHN that save the day.
