    I just moved here from Tennessee where I was paying only $19.99 a month for the same internet service I am getting here for $34.99 -- and this price is only because I am bundling service.   • Paid my bills and still being charged extra

    I have had service sing 8-2014. I was paying around 114 a month after the promotion my bill jumped to 180. I called and was told I could be on another promotion of 129 I continued to pay 180 which should have given me a credit. I called and spoke with a gentleman and he looked into my account and agreed. Now all of a sudden in a matter of a month I am in the negative 630.00. I didn't have service for 4 days because of lightning and my phone hasn't work in over 3 weeks. I paid 3 times in January.     My wife returned equipment 8 years ago when we switched to verizon. Called tonight to try Brighthouse again because Verizon Sux....but the rep said we hadn't returned the equipment and I owed over $1,000.00! My wife distinctly recalls returning the equipment to the Wesley Chapel location. Our word against theirs. My question is why would I keep their equipment? There's Nothing we could do with it.   • Total lack of concern for the customer. Complete rip off

    I (also. Seems many of us have done the same) called to lower my bills. I don't watch a lot of TV. I spend a lot of my time writing code. I have basic programming, no DVR service and 1(one) tv hooked up in our house. I have the 35Mbps internet service, which I do have to admit is somewhat consistent.   • Brighthouse no show/late

    We recently experience the same thing with a brighthouse tech scheduled to come between 12 and 2pm. Someone called me at 2 to inform me it would then be 4pm. I had to leave at 5pm and still no one had come or called. My dad was at the house when I left and when someone finally did show close to 6pm he asked what they were there to do and they rudely just turned around and walked away.   • Brighthouse Monopoly - No Competition

    I am fed up with the slow speeds offered by Brighthouse and the rip off to buy faster speeds. Our location in FLORIDA, MELBOURNE BEACH, does not have any competitor in the cable modem industry because BH has the franchise to provide services here. What good is competition if it is not available? BH can drive the price up and have no fear of customers switching to another provider.     As a customer for 20 yrs, I never really had a prob with this company til now. Numerous appts. have been made since Nov 18 to replace the wiring in the ground, when the original tech who was out to my house said was causing the prob.   • poor quality broken sofa and cooker

    DON NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! even if you are desperate don't do it. ive had a corner sofa from them that was faulty the first day I had it, I had 3 more delivered and all faulty and still faulty, im in process of trying to get money back and get rid of these horrendous sofas that are unusable. cooker I had was faulty and had someone fix it, it lasted 3 days and rang up store 1 week later still no reply I had to go through regional manager route!     I called BH last night to ask about my slow internet speed. I have standard which is supposed to give me up to 10mbps but have never reached it. I am consistently at 2 or 3. I was on the phone for a while with some pretty friendly technicians who scheduled a visit today between 2-4.     I have had Brighthouse for several years now, and I have not found one positive about this company. I constantly have problems accessing On Demand shows, which have made for many a cold dinner nights fussing with my box.     The wait time for Brighthouse customer service is horrific. Twice at 45 minutes because their service is failing, and now again am on hold @27 minutes...and it's a SUNDAY!     Brighthouse is by far the absolute worst cable and internet provider, and there are other bad ones out there! Their customer service is horrible (especially managers) and I had daily problems with my cable and internet. They set me up initially with a bad cable (at 10pm at night) which wasn't discovered until after 5 DVR box changes (yes each change was a separate visit), and then they didn't take any ownership for their mistake.     I have lived in Central Florida for just about a year now and have had to call Brighthouse over 10 times. Most of the times it's something with the DVR and the internet.     I called to find out how I could lower my bill and they told me I was grandfathered in on my "high speed" internet. I told them not to touch it. I didn't want to mess up that status.     I have had to switch out cable boxes 3-4 times in the last year for various issues. one of those time I had to reschedule because no one showed up and they marked the job as compete with a note stating the problem was fixed from the outside.When I called to report the no show the first time I was told that they were going to send someone out with in the hour.   • Internet speed drops randomly

    Random Internet drop outs, speeds goes down to 5mbps almost every day , noticed while performing test speeds that i was connected to a Birmingham server, now check this out - As soon as i dial Brightouse tel number, after few more speed tests the internet just jumps back no normal and I'm now connected to a LOCAL orlando server getting my promised 10 mbps.     Just installed the "free" digital adapter for my cable subscription. What a crock. -Presto: no interactive cable Guide. How do you schedule anything without a Guide?     Built a house and the neighborhood had Brighthouse as the cable and internet provider. I scheduled a noon - 2pm installation on a Saturday for which nobody showed up. I called customer service about the issue twice and they said they'd get back to me asap. (No one ever called back).     We decided to get internet and home phone through brighthouse. The salesman was super nice and explained everything, however the next day when the installer came to hook it was a different story. For one, he smelled like an ashtray. My kids even complained that the living area smelled like a cigarette.     To start with the boxes are horrible. The channels keep freezing and the box turns off on its own. Searching is almost impossible because its so slow. I can press the buttons 100 times and nothing will happen. The DVR doesn't record all the shows and when it does, half the show would be missing or it will record an entirely different show.     Very disappointed in their service. While I was on the phone, the technician called and because I couldn't switch over (I was on a business call) the technician cancelled the service call. The technician left no message asking me to call back or the call would be cancelled or left a message to indicate the call was cancelled.   • 4 cable boxes in 6 months

    In the past 6 months, I continue to get a cable box that does not work after a month or two. This is my 4th box that I have received. The box will stop recording or it will record only one show and not the other. My favorite is when I have a scheduled recording and it does not record at all.     we moved and transferred our cable service. Simple. Same package, new house. Equipment was delivered by Keith from Knight Enterprising ( Contracted out for Brighthouse?) .   • Never showed up for appointment

    I AM BEYOND LIVID DUE TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE RECEIVED FROM BRIGHT HOUSE! I cancelled my service and set up an appointment for them to come and pick up their equipment.   • BrightHouse is a BIG HIT and MISS!!

    I have had BrightHouse service for just a little over four months and have had to call their service department twice. I haven't had any problems with customer service; however, I have had nothing but problems with my service since I began using BrightHouse.
