Terrible HD picture quality - HD TV Picture Quality is Horrible


Long story short- Using 55' LED HDTV, HD DVR, and pay for best possible package. The HD channels mostly have little blocks and shdows on anything moving fast on the screen. Regular SD channels do not have this issue. Called support several times and had many resets and reboots leading nowhere. Had Tech sent out and replaced DVR and splitter, Issue not resolved. I was told by the tech "that I need to sit further away from my TV so I do not notice the bad picture quality." He tested the lines and said they were running within proper range and I was just seeing the results of the limited bandwith. Basically told me my hdtv is too good for their HD service.(WTF??) I have a neighbor with a 72' TV and there is no issue with the picture. It is not an issue with my TV as Bluray, xbox 360, and Vudu display perfectly. - Going to get a signal Amp and try to fix this myself. Brighthouse offers no real solution.

If the problem is as you describe it this sounds like artifacting/noise or poor refresh rate which is the TV not the cable box. There are ways to resolve this depending on the television.
