I returned the digital adapters when Brighthouse started charging for the "free digital adapter" As I had no use for them. One was returned directly to a tech at my house. The other was returned along with all of my Mother's Brighthouse equipment when she switched carriers. Also given to the tech. This month my bill was $100 more, as they charged me for 2 Digital adapters that were lost/stolen. I was told I should have gotten a receipt. That is not my job, it is your tech's. My mothers receipt shows a digital adapter returned with her equipment, and she didn't have one, so it was mine...but BH is telling me that the serial numbers don't match. I told Brighthouse that it was unfair to charge me $100 for something without discussing me first, it was automatically taken from my bank account. And that an error on their part should not cause me to suffer. They basically told me too bad. I am canceling my service. As will most people in my neighborhood/ They were willing to lose a long time customer over $100 that I never should have been charged. Disgraceful.
